Fire Safety
- Never store gasoline or other flamables near an open flame or in your home.
- Always use approved containers for safety.
- Remember if children see you strike a match, they will do as you do.
- Never leave candles unattended even for a short period of time.
- If you smell gas, do not operate light switches or any thing that may create a spark. Exit your home and call 911.
- Small children are often attracted to bright vivid colors.
- Always keep the fire place damper open until the fire is completely out and no longer smoldering.
- Keep the fireplace doors and screens in place.
- If lightening strikes and power lines are down, notify your local power company and stay away from the power lines even if you think they are not charged.
