Award Winning Joint Dispatch Center

In our continual efforts to improve service to our residents, and to control costs in providing those services, we partnered with Creve Coeur and Town & Country to establish the West Central Dispatch Center, or WCDC, for routine and 9-1-1 calls for Fire, EMS, and Police service. Our partnership received an award by the East-West Gateway Council of Governments for innovative and effective practices. Most of this improvement in capabilities and equipment will be transparent to you. You will still dial 9-1-1 in an emergency. For non-emergency calls to summon police or to report a crime, you will now call 314-737-4600. To reach the administrative offices for the Police Department you will still call 314-994-9300.

The state-of-the-art center, with four dispatch workstations, is housed in renovated space at the Town & Country City Complex.  The two dispatch workstations at the Frontenac Police station will be our emergency backup site. Your Police Department will still be monitoring your home alarm - and if we’re not doing so, please call Gary McDaniel at 314-373-6531 to arrange for this service for only $123 per year. There is no quicker response to your alarm needs than direct monitoring by your Police Department - and we do not charge for false alarms.
