What are the differences between R-1 and R-2 zoning?

R-1 Residence District is one (1) acre minimum zoning and R-2 Residence District is 7,500 square feet minimum zoning. For more information view the City Code and review the two zoning districts.

The R-1 district is the One Acre Residence District and the R-2 is the Residence District. The R-21 district is a denser district allowing 7500 square foot lots however many of the lots within this district were established before the district was established and are considered pre-existing legal nonconforming lots.
