Do I need a permit to remodel my kitchen?
Answer
If the existing cabinets are being directly replaced a permit is not required.
Details
If the kitchen is being demolished (gutted) and the kitchen is basically being replaced then a permit is required and the upgrade does need to meet the current codes.
